aim
In order to show the best bedside lighting set by the pattern of using throughout analyzing the existing design.

research question
What can be the considerable design for lighting users when lighting design communicate with them?

intended audience
Domestic users (18~60) reading book before sleeping.
Lighting & furniture manufacture (e.g – ikea, Philips lighting, magis, vitra, viabizzuno, etc), designers.

key areas of investigation
-Lighting technology solutions (led & halogen / light colour and brightness)
-User behaviour pattern & user psychology about lathing and lighting design
-Current multi-functional furniture and what function do they have?
-User life style through age, occupation, and sex
-Environment of users , overall dispositions of user , dispositions of user before sleeping
-Environment mood through lighting design

role of the project in your personal development?
To develop further skills and knowledge in the area of lighting technology (include led and halogen)
Better understanding of users’ experience (reading a book / transforming shape or user / listening to music etc) in interacting with lighting design.
Provide appropriate portfolio material to pursue next level of career in lighting design.

rationale
- The communication between design product and its users means that design can understand and provide the need of users and the pattern of using.
- For example, it provides the optimal condition for users while they read or sleep.
- The mixed function of this lighting design can increase the life quality of users in bedtime whereas the original bedside design remains simple in function.

- The structure of design is able to change in shape dimensionally according to user’s different needs.
-An enhanced relationship with object and user encourages the user to value the object more, hence increasing its useful life.

This design selects domestic users for the main target consumer. It may be also applied into the space for readers in public space such as hotel lounges, main receptions of building or libraries.

“A Study of Human Engineered Designs Through the Convergence of Products, Furniture, and Lighting”
This design project placed the influence of the design upon the user interaction by communication and human behaviour pattern at its analytic centre.
Also, it is to add a new solution to products and user environments, by combining life style and aesthetic values enhancing people’s behaviour and improving their life.
The Lighting design is not just one of design parts, it is way of communication with all of human life for example, it is not only curing humanity but also it should be design for human, consequently, lighting can change any other different design for communication with human.
So to speak, it is metamorphosis of social interacting lighting design.

This tap water may not be as good as we may like it to be. Our planet's rivers and reservoir systems are under dire stress due to drought, climatic changes and alarming levels of salinity. The water emanating from the treatment plants generally conforms with the quality standards, but the water then passes through hundreds of kilometres of ageing pipes before it reaches our kitchen tap. Consequently, all these factors affect the hygienic quality, as well as the taste, odour and clarity of the water.
In addition, buying bottled water creates a vast amount of unnecessary waste.Many people fill in their plastic bottles with tap water to take away during the day, but not only at home, also at work, travelling, abroad…
this proposal consists in a water filter made of latex that can be adjusted easily to any bottle. Its flexible material and small size makes it very convenient to take away.design target group is people who are concerned of the purity of the water, together with the consciousness of the waste in which bottled water derives to.
